Westwood Recreation Center: 1350 S. Sepulveda, Los Angeles
Pasadena Civic Auditorium: 300 E. Green St, Pasadena
El Camino Real Charter High School: 5440 Valley Circle Blvd., Woodland Hills
Ritchie Valens Recreation Center: 10736 Laurel Canyon Blvd., Pacoima
Sepulveda Recreation Center: 8825 Kester Avenue, Panorama City
Pierce College: 6201 Winnetka Ave., Woodland Hills (accepts large animals)
YMCA: YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is opening its locations that aren't affected by the fires for temporary shelter, showers, basic amenities, and mental health support. They are also providing childcare services (5 years and up) for first responders and families affected by the fires
Airbnb: 211 LA is partnering with Airbnb to offer free temporary housing for people displaced from their homes due to wildfires.
Queen Mary: The Queen Mary hotel in Long Beach announced that it will be pricing rooms for fire evacuees at $189. The reservation will include a voucher for a breakfast buffet for two people. The reservation will also waive pet and Historical Preservation fees. Visit queenmary.com for more information.
Big Bear: The popular retreat spot has also offered evacuees a peaceful place to turn to for rest and regathering. A collection of vacation homes and hotels is listed on their website, bigbear.com.
Visit Anaheim: People affected by the wildfires can visit Visit Anaheim's official website and find special hotel offers and assistance.
Uber: Residents in Los Angeles County who’ve been ordered to vacate their homes can get a credit from Uber to get to an evacuation site. The $40 will only be valid for trips to an active shelter and by using the code WILDFIRE25.
Lyft: Lyft announced it will be offering $25 vouchers, valid for two trips, to 500 customers from now until midnight on Jan. 15. Use the code CAFIRERELIEF25 to get the promotion.
AT&T: The telecommunications company announced it is offering wildfire areas unlimited data, talk and text through Feb. 6. Visit their official site for a list of valid zip codes.
Verizon: Verizon announced it will waive call, text and data charges for customers in hardest hit areas. The company also deployed free Wifi and charging stations at three wildfire shelters.
Los Angeles Equestrian Center: 480 Riverside Dr., Burbank (accepts large animals)
Agoura Animal Shelter: 29525 Agoura Rd, Agoura Hills (accepts small animals)
SpcaLA: 5026 W. Jefferson Blvd., Los Angeles
Dogtopia of East Pasadena: Offering three free overnight stays for pups from families displaced by fire and a 50% discount afterwards
Pasadena Humane Society: Offering emergency shelter for animals, 361 S. Raymond Ave., Pasadena. They are also looking for families to foster dogs and cats from families displaced by fires. Email [email protected]
U-Haul: Offering 30-days of self-storage and U-box rentals for free to fire evacuees and affected families. 92 facilities are participating, in L.A. Orange County, the Inland Empire and elsewhere. Visit uhaul.com for more information.
Planet Fitness: The fitness chain is offering evacuees and first responders free access to their facilities, including showers, locker rooms, and WiFi. Offer is valid until Jan. 15
For those fortunate and willing, the below organizations have established donation funds to assist our first responders, communities and victims of this tragedy as they begin to rebuild their lives.
California Fire Foundation: This organization helps support victims of wildfires in California. It also provides support for firefighters battling the wildfires and for the families of fallen firefighters.
Salvation Army: This organization provides grants to those displaced by fires and financial assistance for immediate and long-term needs of fire victims.
Red Cross: The Red Cross offers emergency shelters, provides meals and medical care, and assists with recovery plans following disaster.
Wildfire Recovery Fund: This fund is used to help with intermediate and long-term impact of wildfires, helping communities recover after attention has shifted away from the disasters.
Baby2Baby: Within 48 hours, Baby2Baby is able to provide basic essentials and respond to needs on the ground to support children impacted by fires, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes and other crisis situations.
Los Angeles Regional Food Bank: As a member of the Emergency Network of Los Angeles (ENLA), the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank provides vital food resources year-round for people who are fighting hunger, but would also serve as a first responder in the case of a natural disaster.
